What did he do? I wasn't reading Marvel at the time, but I heard he was outed.

His secret identity was made known and he was arrested, but then Iron Fist began wearing his costume and posed as him for a while to draw off suspicion. It didn't last very long, nor did it entirely work as one of the main angles in the ongoing series is Matt vehemently denying this claim to the general public, but it gave him enough of a wide berth to re-establish himself and get at least some people off of his back.

Maybe a coloring error? He hasn't been blonde in even one issue. We've seen early images get color corrected before.

It's blonde on the webpage and in print in this week's comic books.

Uh, speaking strictly as someone who has been reading the relaunch since the jump, I can say that there has been JACK in the way of indication of that happening. The writing is far too grounded in the writing of Snyder's Batman for it to even occur, methinks. Besides, we all knows covers can and usually are intentionally misleading.
