I'm telling ya if Grant writes Jason like Jason was written before BFTC I'm going to be pissed because in Cowl, he went absolutely loopy, losing what was left of his mind. Sure I want to see him be redeemed someday but that would just be such a 180 that'd I be very upset.

I think what I didn't like, was cutting away from Damien and Dick's splash page to hint at the new villain. For me, it could have ended right there. I wanted to see the first dialog between Dick and Gordon. I hope it's as important in the next issue as I feel it should be.Originally posted by Parrylakks View PostThe only thing I don't like about the new issue was the DCN in the back... the fact that killing off characters is such a big joke to them all now is really sad and pathetic, and jsut proves how much we need a new editrial team over at DC comics.

That would be interesting. But, 1) I don't see Grant touching Jean Paul Valley, and 2) I don't think guns were ever Jean Paul's schdict.Originally posted by Mrt1000son View PostThere is another candidate, Azrael, the first one, maybe he's come back as 52 predicted, it did say 'Jean-Paul Valley lives', it could mean he's come back as Red Hood, or he'll return in Blackest Night

I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. It sounds like Morrison doesn't know what he wants to do with Joker yet, just that he wants to write about him so that we can all bask in the glory of Quitely's Joker.Originally posted by lanternut View PostI hope Redhood does turn out to be Joker. Didn't Morrison say he wanted to revisit him in his last Newsarama interview? I do think Morrison can show other writers that Joker can be used more than DCU's Hannibal Lecter.
I think Red Hood will be someone new, or at least someone with a low profile. I'm getting the feeling that Batman and Robin is new new new.
if you want Batman continuity, go read Batman RIP.
Could be wrong, though.

Thanks! Can you also be one of those cool people who makes wallpapers of this comic too?Originally posted by xionice View PostPosted it in my thread too, but figured they might be easier to find here too.
Batman Avatars:

Like the covers and such? Maybe some interiors?
That'd be sweet.

NO!
PLEASE GOD!
After Battle For The Cowl, I'd be extremely upset if he was ever redeemed. Skeletons handcuffed to the walls of his "cave"? No forgiveness.Originally posted by Superman-Prime300 View PostI'm telling ya if Grant writes Jason like Jason was written before BFTC I'm going to be pissed because in Cowl, he went absolutely loopy, losing what was left of his mind. I have feeling we'll see more of that dynamic in Batman by Judd and in the recently announced World's Finest mini/issue, along with Dini's Batman: Streets of Gotham. I remember Judd saying something about Superman appearing early on in his run. And Gordon is on the JG Jones variant to Streets...
This is definitely in continuity, adding characters to the universe doesn't change that.Originally posted by Bruce Castle View PostI suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. You don't really need to buy anything to really understand Battle For The Cowl. The Batman title did not generally set up for that mini event. If you do want to know all the background information on the entire Batman family, you can pick up the trades of Batman and Son, The Black Glove, and Batman RIP for everything Batman. Freefall and The Great Leap for the most recent adventures of Nightwing before Battle for the Cowl. A Teenage Wasteland and Robin: Search For A Hero, I believe are the most recent trades of Tim Drake. That should be all you need, unless you plan on picking up Batgirl in August...then you might want to pick up the recent Oracle mini.

i thought this book was AWESOME!!!!
it's kinda like the spiderman 'brand new day' thing but 100000 times better!
it felt refreshing and new.i like how damian as robin is more like bruce wayne/batman than dick is.the scene in the new super-delux bat cave (the dark knght anyone?) is wicked-how alfred brings thier meals in and damian refuses is bruce-esque whilst dick tucks staright in in a very robin way.
the thing i was most worried about was the new batmobile but it turns out the darn thing is pretty wicked!!!the scene where dick/batman is dangling the frog dude from it is quality!
i now have this title reserved for me at my local CS and i cannot wait for the next ish!plus the future story look promises some sweet tales!
overall 10/10-i thought id hate it....but i love it!
im looking forward to the 'batman' title coming back too!probably a little more in depth with the dick becoming batman and the phsycological affect its having on him.and 'detective comics' with batman looks wicked...ive always wanted to see more of her and i love her costume too (sometimes alex ross can do good things!).......(not a fan)
BUY THIS BOOK!!!
