What are some stories that I should read to catch me up to the current Batman books? Like where did Damian come from, what happened to Jason Todd and Tommy Elliot, and other stuff like that.

Morrison's run - essential reading. Damian is from there. Batman #655-658, 663-683
About Todd you should read Under the Hood (Batman #635-641, 645-650 & Anuual #1) and errrr Battle for the Cowl.
And about Elliot - Heart of Hush. Detectective Comics #846-850. Also Batman #685 & DC #852.

You could just read bio pages, but if you want the actual stories here ya go. By the way, unless you're gonna read Streets of Gotham, you don't need to read up on Tommy Elliot.Originally posted by HonorGuardLantern423 View PostWhat are some stories that I should read to catch me up to the current Batman books? For DamiAn
Batman and Son, The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul
For Hush
Although I don't personally recommend it, Batman: HUSH. Its easier just picking up Batman: Heart of Hush, Batman #685 and Detective Comics #852, which you would have to buy anyway. And both HoH and #685 do a good job of recapping what you need to know about Hush.
For Jason
Batman: Under The Hood by Judd Winick is the first return of Jason Todd as Red Hood. Then Robin: Search for a Hero, and then you can pretty much go into Battle for the Cowl.

Thanks guys. Getting into Batman after so many years of just picking one up every now and then that looked cool is VERY intimidating and I want to at least understand it when I read Batman and Robin. Has all of Morrison's run been collected into trades?
West: I read Batman:Hush a long time ago and thats where my interest in Tommy Elliot came from.Last edited by HonorGuardLantern423; 08-30-2009, 08:18 PM.

and though some don't include it...I DO...

and then...

and since its one big epic to me...completely unnecessary for you to catch up on, but adds to the story of the DCU.

and then some background info for RIP.

and then come April..

So those first 4 make up Morrison's run? Looks like I have my work cut out for me, but I now have Batman and Robin on my pull and I have Final Crisis already.

Morrison only wrote 2-3 issues out of 14 or so. It's not really part of his run.
Neither is the Black Casebook, but there is some fun stuff in there.
