I can't see Guy as part of the Sinestro Corps.

Him in the Reds works (to the extent it does) only because he took out Atrocitus and sent the Reds in a new direction more in keeping with his heroic bent. It never would have worked with him working FOR Atrocitus.

In the Sinestro Corps, Guy would never work FOR Sinestro, he certainly isn't going to be allowed to REPLACE Sinestro, and I can't imagine him even working WITH Sinestro on an ongoing basis (or Sinestro wanting him there, for that matter).

Plus Reds, at least to some extent, seem like beings that are legitimately pissed off, so Guy can work with them if he can convince them to direct that anger in a positive direction.

Many of the Sinestro Corps members, on the other hand, strike me as outright criminals and psychopaths, real evil pieces of work, who inspire fear in others because they enjoy doing so, not in service of any greater good (except as Sinestro manipulates them to do, in his eyes at least). I can't see Guy being willing to work with people like that (these days, anyway. He had no problem doing so back when he was first a GL, during Crisis. But he was a major jerk back then, and somebody that would do whatever he was asked to keep his power. I don't think that describes him any more.)

I get what you are saying. And I think with minimal writting Talent you can all that away. I don't think that the SC has to spread fear anymore because aparntly the resavour is finite,so if making people afraid does not help power them what is the point now? I think that is the big question what is Sinestro going to do now?

As for Guy I would play this angle, He fells comfortable with the yellow ring. I mean he used it for along time. As for the relationship with Sinestro,I think Sinestro is smart enogh to play Guy. Offer Guy a place in the new SC. it's just like the Green Lantern Corps but we don't waste time with things like red tape, and we give the bad guys what they have comming. Let's bully the bullies.

Just wind Guy up and let him go. Let Guy and the readers keep gussing what Sinestro's angle is. And let Guy fall back into old habbits. It sells action figures and T-shirts,It will boost some sales. and most importantly it buys us some time to figure where Guy's perminate home is going to be,because does any body really want him a Red Lantern for ever?

Well, I guess I kind of got the impression that for most Sinestro Corps members, making people afraid was the whole point. They'd be doing that without a ring. So give them a ring, and they will use it toward that end. If they want to totally change the type of characters that make up the Sinestro Corps, I could see it going in a different direction, of course.

I think that was the point in the begining. Give almost god like powers to the most vicious criminals in the universe to push the Guardians to finally admitting sometimes captiol punishment is the way to go. With the Guardians gone and that mission long accomplished I think he needs a new purpose. So why not dust off his original one? I don't think Guy would ever admit it out loud, but I think deep down he knows that him and Sinestro are similar in the idea of doing the wrong things for the right reasons.

I personally don't want to write the story. I am just an ideas guy. I like to plant some seeds and let other people water the Garden, because I too am intrested in what will grow. Ultimatley it would be part of a big plan to find the Main GL characters a perminate home that fits with thier mythos. A stability that Comics in general has been lacking for some time.

That might actually work (at least for a while) if the Sinestro title has him cleaning house in his Corps first, getting rid of the psychopaths he had first recruited and replacing them with people that share his vision of an orderly cosmos. If he keeps the same old crazies, I think he'll have a hard time selling such a vision to a lot of them.

I completely agree. But again just right around this. Have it be that The ones who stay are loyal enough to follow his new example and those who defey him are either to afraid of him to speak up or Dead. I would try to avaoid killing any C memebre that people may have formed a attachment to,at least not until the writting staff has cooler people to replace them with.

Truthfully though I can't think of anyone I need to see around. I like Krybb, and Arkillo but me personally they are not essantial cast. I would still have Sinestro pick the scarriest people in the universe to champion his cause but they also would have to be able to channel that agression to where it is deserved.

Not forever, but I'd like to see quite a bit more of Red Guy. And when that's all done, I want him to go back to green, not play music chairs with the bad or antihero corps.

Honestly I've very mixed on the emotional spectrum. I really like the concept behind it and some of the characters, but it really has crowded the book more than it should be, that I think that they should honestly mix it up. Less emotional spectrum, more rogues like The Shark or heck even Sonar (I love him, he's hilarious, beat me all you want).

Ahh, Sonar II. Perfect ammo for the Emo Spectrum camp to justify it's existence!

Sonar II > any emotional entity, so that craphound wins by default.

I still wish we had gotten a comic where the original Sonar came back and kicked Sonar II's butt. Too late now, since I don't want Sonar II brought back after all this time, but back when he was still fresh in people's minds, that would have been awesome.

That would have been great. He could have choked him the fuck out with that gay little cape of his with one hand, and blasted him right in the ears with his sonar gun with the other.

I was all hyped for Sonar when they showed him in prison when they first brought Hal back. Yet another Goeff Story tease.

He was doing some interesting revamps of the silver age villains. That is, until the emotional spectrum became popular and permanently sidetracked him. I liked his Tattoo Man, Hector Hammond, and The Shark. Too bad, I would have loved to have seen more. He never got to Goldface (not his Flash version), Evil Star, or Polaris.

And nobody EVER gives any love to The Lamplighter!
