Crappy storylines that are frequently revisited

I can't think of any bad retreaded ideas for Guy except how JLI took a crap on him making him more of a joke than a fleshed out character but otherwise, I can't think of anything maybe one of you guys can.

Guy Gardner's Reborn plan made him look pretty stupid. It was mentioned a few times in the past, but I don't think it's considered continuity anymore. That's fine with me because using manipulating G'Nort, nearly getting himself killed by Lobo, and robbing the crypt on Oa to get a ring that he shouldn't have logically been able to use properly wasn't one of his brighter times.
