That could ALMOST work, except I am extremely skeptical that they could get Ford to play Han Solo again.

Though I'd bet good money that Anthony Daniels will be onboard as C-3PO again (at least the voice), whatever else happens. Unless he dies, I suppose. No idea how old he is.

I haven't, but I can imagine (I'd do a search to find out, but you are making me think I don't want to). But even aside from what she looks like, I'd be afraid to hear what she sounds like. Last I heard, her voice had gotten seriously gravelly.

Disney.... a company that markets almost exclusively to stupid impressionable youth is going to pass up an opportunity to make a trilogy with young fresh marketable stars so that they can cast a handful of actors in their 50s 60s and dear God Harrison Ford is SEVENTY YEARS OLD....

Why? To sell tickets to a handful of nerds who have already promised 10% of their income to the franchise til they die anyway????

Hey, I never said they'd star. No way old Han, old Leia, and old Luke would be the main characters, IMHO. Especially if they are planning to keep making movies every couple years, the old actors would only ever POSSIBLY be on board to pass the torch to whoever was going to be the focus going forward.

But I don't think even that is likely to happen because I don't see any way Ford would even be interested in a cameo as Han Solo.

But I still bet Anthony Daniels will be Threepio. Even you, Naysay, have to admit that's pretty darn likely.
