heres the thing though if disney is only sticking with episodes 1 - 6 plus clone wars and rebels as canon does that make fetts alive story non canon? i mean this did happen in the eu right?

Yes, you are correct. As far as I know (in the novels part of the EU) he did make it out of the pit with the help of Dengar. It was detailed in the first book of the Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy. But since Lucas scrapped the EU, the truth is now he is still in there as far as we know. Could be alive, could be dead.

another one they can do is about the hutts or something. theres so many charachters for a good movie i just think they need a chance to shine other than just focusing on ones we already saw.

I don't know if you have ever read this, but there is an EU book out there called Tales of the Bounty Hunters that has a little story on each one, even the two other guys, Zuckuss and 4-LOM. The one story I remember most is IG-88's tale. That droid is hardcore; makes the terminator look like a little sissy Sally girl.

again thats why i like the idea of focusing on new charachters. hammil recently did an interview saying the old cast is not focused on a lot in episode 7 and its about the new generation. im fine with that because with a franchise like star wars its always the best to go forward in time instead of back in time.

i wouldnt mind if they borrowed charachters from the eu and change there overall backround. i seriously wouldnt because id love to see xizor become a legitament villain that isnt part of the shadows of the empire story

Technically Shadows of the Empire isn't EU. Dash's ship, the Outrider, was added to the special editions of Episode IV and Xizor cameoed in the pod racing sequence in Episode I.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else takes up the "mantle" of Darth Vader.

Everything I've seen of Episode VII worries me. They threw out George's outlines, the Empire is back, Stormtroopers are back, X-Wings are back, TIE Fighters, a guy is walking around with Darth Vader's helmet... all of this smacks of an over-abundance of nostalgia for the original trilogy.
