the cast isnt the discussion though im refering to the fan who is basicly on his death bed.

My point is that it isn't insulting. It would only be insulting if they singled him out for that sort of treatment, implying that he was especially untrustworthy. They make EVERYBODY sign one. You and I may think it is unnecessary to do so with a guy essentially on his deathbed, but I can't see it as INSULTING unless you think they are insulting everybody else they made sign one, too.

The purpose of anyone signing an NDA is to protect their product/brand. If this guy leaks information about the movie to family and friends, especially via social media, interest could decline, which means money would be lost on ticket sales and revenue in general. Having people sign NDA's is a standard practice in Hollywood that doesn't exclusively apply to its actors.

nda's are irrelevant imo since studios leak there own stuff anyways for example supergirl 6 months early, flash 6 to 8 months early last year and todays episode of arrow that features a charachter whos show was cancelled 2 days ago. movie wise expendables 3 kick ass 2 happen to leak online in top notch grade a perfect quality. you can tell whats a bootleg and what is released content and the stuff i mentioned aint no bootleg . you ask me all those "" leaks"" seem to hint that maybe these studios want to test the water with fans to see how such a product is accepted. as for star wars........... id be suprised if it leaked i really would since jj is such a secretive guy

Yeah. You don't need years of life to leak spoilers. Nor can you say that because he's a fan he wouldn't post spoilers. Many have. There's nothing insulting about an NDA here.

Har, har. (I actually find the development of Phillips-head screws a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away MUCH more plausible than the evolution of beings essentially identical to humans. )
