I was saddened when I heard the news of the passing of Carrie Fisher. I must have watched Star Wars like a hundred times when it made it's way to cable and VHS and Carrie Fisher portrayed Princess Leia not so much as a damsel in distress, but just a character held prisoner. She gave the character strength and sass without losing any femininity.

I love her roast of George Lucas.
