  • Day 23: Favorite Novel not yet adapted to a movie or show? Do you want it to be?

    It's funny how many books are adapted, especially if you're out of date like me. For the longest time, I would have said On the Road, but they apparently made a small indie of that a few years ago (which I still haven't seen).

    So, for now, I'll say The Silimarillion by JRR Tolkien. And to answer the second part, no I don't think it's actually filmable and I certainly wouldn't trust Jackson with it at this point.

      • Day 25: An Author you wish was more widely known

        Tricky. Again, I tend to read a lot of classics or famous authors within their genre. I wish people read classics more, but I can't claim that those authors aren't known in a general sense.

        For want of a better answer, I'll say James P. Hogan, a somewhat known sci-fi writer that's probably better than his sales suggest. But I haven't read his stuff in years now.

        • Day 26: The last book that you read

          Just finished a theology book called The Beast of Revelation by Kenneth Gentry Jr. The last novel was Alice in Wonderland. by Robert Heinlein.

          I'm sorry more people are participating in this one. We have more avid reader here than this.

            This guy is absolutely one of my favorites:

            Brandon Sanderson

            Day 25: An Author you wish was more widely known

            Will Hill (author of the Department 19 series)

            Day 26: The last book that you read

            I am currently in the middle of reading this:

            Day 27: Least favorite book

            If least favorite as in I don't like it at all, then this;

            If least favorite as in just lowest on the list of my favorite books (top 5), then this:

              I always take these as hate. I wouldn't even know how to evaluate the bottom of favorite (where's the line between like and start to be favorite?). So, I'll just repeat Jude the Obscure.

                I've said Great Expectations (Charles Dickens) for years and maybe it still is, but I have to admit that I've read more and seem more obsessed with Alice in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll).
