Y'know, I can't recall what exactly was going on at the point that I dreamed that up. I think the idea was that people could just draft whatever foods they wanted. I will say I'm pretty certain that the was meant as an acknowledgement that it was a stupid idea...

We could always draft elements from the Periodic Table.

Frankly at this point, the main thing to consider in a draft subject is, do we think we can get people to actually vote in the darn thing. I mean, yeah, making the teams is a lot of the fun, but it isn't the WHOLE point.

If that was all that mattered, we could just have a thread where people could post their ideas, and skip the drafting and the voting.

Last few drafts, we've been lucky if the total number of voters in any given matchup broke into double digits.
