I can't say it hurts my feelings. Triumph, Tomorrow Woman, Yazz, Bluejay...who the fuck were they turning AWAY? That's what I want to know!
    You forgot... Beef Eater! LOL

But seriously, I'd say they turned down at least a dozen or so more people than the Avengers have lately....

I just picked up most of this series and I'm wondering how the New 52 is handling the relationship between Hal and Kyle? GL:NG showed Kyle getting his ring from Ganthet ala Emerald Twilight, but it didn't reference Hal as Parallax.

Since then, I've looked for a reference to Hal-as-Parallax in the N52 JLA, GL, and NG first year issues and haven't found any so far. Has there been any clarification on this?

That bit confused us all (as you can see in the discussion of that issue). As far as we know "Emerald Twilight" happened to some degree but what exactly happened is up in the air.

From the panels I've seen this is how it currently is in my mind

              - Hal becomes Parallax
              - CPB destroyed, Guardians are either
              A.killed
              B.knocked out
              - Ganthet gives ring to Kyle
              - All Jade stuff is cut out
              - Hal dies in the sun
              - Guardians are probably
              A. restored, not as children but probably as regular mini oans
              B. brought back from some kind of coma
              - Kyle finds Hal, parallax battle happens
              - Kyle is brought back to OA and put into the rookie costume for proper training.

              Other things of note.
              - If all those people with Kyle were there(in his flashback training battle) when he did his training, then Hal never "killed" the lost lanterns and they just lost their powers like everyone else.
              - First white Ion costume has not been referenced yet.
              - Third Ion costume is show in the timeline. Since there is no Jade or Starheart, something else must have triggered the evolution of the Starheart Ion.

CPB was never destroyed. Which throws a lot of events out of whack. Kyle also never wore the "rookie" costume with the blank badge.

There's more than one panel with the battery destroyed, including in the upcoming new GL issue.

As for the rookie thing, I'm referring to the panel where he has no mask and Ganther, arisia, etc are there.

I haven't seen any evidence that the GotU were in any were defeated. And in what New 52 book have we seen a destroyed CPB?

There's this one where's it's shattered and crumbling.

That would explain why I hadn't seen it. I never read previews.
That makes the retcon with rookie Kyle even more convoluted.

Thanks for all the replies, gents. Another thing that bothers me is that Kyle had to return home to charge his ring. I thought we were getting away from that dynamic for the GLC when the pocket dimension was introduced. Not to mention the Indigo Tribe, a much younger corps, found a way to carry an instrument for an on-hand charge, so why not the GLs?

Pocket dimensions were rendered inaccessible during the battle with the battery shepherds (iirc).

At any rate, they've gone back and forth whether pocket dimensions can only be accessed in one place or anywhere.
