Lets look at some facts:

1. Every bit of concept art that has leaked has been at least black and green (in more-or-less the right spots).

2. MultiPurposePoni talked to a lighting tech on set who saw a finished scene, said it looked "just like the comics" and confirmed that it had green, black and white.

3. It's hard to judge the colors in that picture because A) the different shades blend together and B) everything is affected by the green glow/tint.

I feel pretty confident that there are black parts, and I think we'll be surprised at how much it looks like the comics when we see it in better light and in motion.

I think it has the potential to be really good depends on lighting and how they make it I do think they are going to keep the black of the suit maybe not the white. The mask does need some improvement because it does look painted on his face. Like most who have posted before me i cant past judgment till i see more pics. It can always be worse lol.

I actually like the striations in the design, I like how there's light coming through them around the chest area, it exudes power. I can imagine that the green parts will be lit up in the striated areas, but the black areas will remain dim. Thus lending to the "green parts are hot, black parts are cold" description.

I realize that they're not using this costume or Routh for the next Superman movie, but I honestly think that their on-screen heroes are shaping up nicely. We're witnessing the birth of the Justice League

Well speaking of superman the first picture of the SR-suit was on the EW-cover,too ( thanks M.O.Steel). In this case, it was not exactly the same suit as it was used in the movie ( in the movie the suit seems to be much tighter and the logo didn´t stand out that much. ).It seemed to be a rather fabricated version of that suit. Could be the same with GL suit.

yea, like the GL cover the Superman EW cover looks highly photoshopped. I'm kind of relieved after seeing the Superman cover, because the final product came out looking much better than what EW led on.

Would rather them never do this again, or just use some of the other shots for a cover. I think having the Reynolds/Lively embrace would have been a much more effective draw.

One thing that I like, is that each costume is completely unique, Batman is all high-tech and body armor, Superman's is for show (he doesn't need it) and Green Lantern's is an ancient über-powerful weapon manifest.

A bit off topic I suppose, but I just hope with Nolan being so involved with Superman, that he doesnt drastically change the costume or origin. I've read that they're already planning on putting a twist to the whole Superman mythos already, but I just hope they leave the suit as simple as it always has been

Nolan mentioned in an interview that the Donner Superman was one of the defining moments in cinema for him as a kid. I feel like they'll do justice to Superman. In fact, that quote made me feel pretty good about the whole thing. He mentioned the epic scope that Superman had.
