I was impressed because I watched his entertainment tonight interview from last night and he immediately knew John Stewart. (context is that the interviewer had a necklace that was custom made by a 'designer' in L.A. but he put the wrong GL on it).

I'm not sure spoilers or non-spoilers have much to do with it. I think it's possible negative reviews getting out and killing the buzz.

Which I'm worried of because it makes me think that WB knew it was horrible and was lying to us the whole time (not that I thought it looked horrible).

It could be, but it's also poorly written with lazy spelling and some minor inaccuracies.

Yeah but it's not like the average reviews of Thor and X-Men first class, where for the most part they said the films were very well done. This reviewer treated it as being average.

Sure there is DC is on a reboot kick right now. So they could piss all over this movie and reboot it before it even premiere's globally. All stores would pull merchandise, all ad's will stop and everyone will just wonder "wasn't there this really awesome looking Green Lantern movie that was suppose to come out?"

That reminds me of the old Fantastic Four movie that never came out. I remember seeing trailers and posters of it. Then it disappeared.
