You beat me to it. Im loving this game. Im bout to go pick up this issue to see whats so bad about it, though honestly Aquaman and Firestorm are the only reasons Im even getting Brightest Day.

Okay read it today. Didn't care for it too much. Liked the Firestorm stuff the best, but not enough of it. Not nearly enough Aquaman either though. Can't wait to see Brand's fight next issue. I give it 3/5 because I can see that it is trying to build up the story.

yea, i wondered the same thing (oh i do know at least greens and whites fought each other)

the bad thing about comic books is waiting for the next, at least this is bi monthly but still i tend to forget things after a long enough time

A lot of people are "eh" on BD but I enjoy it. It has 24 more issues to span over and build these characters, it takes time, but if it was all action and resolutions people would be like "ohh man wheres the character building" and stuff. It's 6 in one hand and half dozen in the other

it's hard to keep a balance, i am pleasantly surprised johns can manage (with tomasi's help) to keep it character oriented, i was afraid he was goin to be too michael bay for us now

I don't think anyone is expecting resolutions of any kind with the second issue of a 26issue series. I can't speak for everyone, but I can say that I'm looking for good writing and good art. That includes character dialogue, story pacing, story sensibility, and consistent quality art among other things. And for the most part, I'd say that Brightest Day just hasn't delivered that to me.
