well in that case sony should be happy because look at the success marvel has had so far.Originally posted by Hypo View PostSony has final say over the solo movies only however I can't imagine Marvel doing anything that would piss off Sony. They didn't buy back the rights, it's a quid pro quo deal. So the only way the deal stays in place is if both sides are happy.
and seriously i dont see why fox wouldnt try a similar deal expecially if they really want to cross over ff and xmen i mean hey if the help is out there ask for it ya know?.................................................. ..........................

The FF might show up in the MCU, but the X-Men won't anytime soon. I don't think they can make an X-movie bad enough that they'll need Marvel's help.

well in that case the ff should get all the help it can because im sorry i never cared about there history as far as there comics go but i did try watching the movies when they came out and i think the first one was just ok but the sequel could have been something way better. as for the reboot wile i am a huge scifi geek the trailer didnt make me go ok i want to see it. seeing as ff has a history with the inhumans marvel and fox could have done some cool event with that for a film. depending on how this new one does and is recieved i thik fox should come up with a plan that if it bombs the rights should just go back to marvel because that would make 3 terrible films for fox studios.Originally posted by Booster Beetle View PostThe FF might show up in the MCU, but the X-Men won't anytime soon. I don't care for him. I've never seen him in anything that's bowled me over, so maybe it's just the material I've seen him work with, but I could care less if he gets the role. Like I said, I don't care unless it's Donald. Otherwise, total apathy.

Last night saw the news of Spider-Man being a part of the Marvel movie universe with the news Spidey set to appear first in a Marvel Studios movie followed by a Sony solo film.
The news also made mention that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige would be onboard the new Spider-Man as a producer.
Now details regarding the Sony and Marvel deal have apparently come to light as Variety offers the following details:
It's actually said to be a "free" deal as Marvel Studios won't have to pay Sony for the use of Spider-Man in Captain America 3, an Avengers movie or any other film.
It's also reported Marvel won't be receiving a cut of the box office from Sony's Spider-Man movies, and also that Sony will not be getting anything for the Marvel movies.
It is said Marvel may benefit from the Sony Spider-Man films if the new Spider-Man movies hit certain box office milestones, with that deal being likened to more of a producer structure.
How the deal benefits both sides is that Spider-Man gives both Sony and Marvel a way to generate more exposure for their properties as Spider-Man is one of the biggest household superhero names.
The report also states that Spider-Man will be recast, and they are looking for a younger actor to play the role as Spider-Man will have his roots set in high school.
It's further said that Kevin Feige will not be involved with the planned Spider-Man spinoffs, Sinister Six, Venom, and the female-centric Spider-Man spinoff, which are still on the table.
Captain America: Civil War has a May 6, 2016 release; the new Spider-Man movie is set for July 28, 2017.

Are you serious? The moments of terrible dialougue? ("And when you get walk any further, keep walking" for example). That thing that they called Deadpool? The native American woman with the completely caucasian sister? Knowing, without a doubt, that shooting Wolverine in the head at the exact right spot of his adamantium skull would make him loose all his memories even though it was a procedure they had never done before and even said they don't know what the effects would be or how well it works? Gambit using his staff to helicopter in from the sky? The fact that we are to believe that all those mutants that they freed were somehow going to fit in that tiny, non-TARDIS, helicopter of Xavier's. And of course that terrible CGI of young Xavier that makes a wax statue look more alive?
All of those things are better than TASM 2? Come on now. I may give you Spidey 3 but even that's a stretch IMO.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

I can understand people preferring ASM2 over XO:W, but at least Fox learned from their mistakes!
Sony hasn't made a great Spidey movie in almost 11 years!

Well, I'm not sure what Fox is going to do with the X-Men franchise. I mean, the next movie is set in the 80s. Is the one after that suppose to be set in the 90s? I'm thinking they're going to reboot the entire thing at some point and the actors I've been growing attached to (i.e. Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence) will be gone. You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge.
