Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.Originally posted by Booster Beetle View PostSo Ant-Man was phenomenal.
I liked it more than I liked GOTG
It was okay. Nothing bad about it, besides the villain being just an asshole and not all that threatening. None of the jokes were hilarious though. I think more often than not, they fell flat as fuck.
This just felt like the stakes weren't all that high for the world, even though they spent most of the movie trying to tell us that.
I'd put it up there with Thor. Technically sound but nothing tremendous about it.

The dance battle was the biggest WTF I've ever let out in a movie theater LOL.
I think what's gonna end Marvel's reign as supreme comic movie-verse is their villains and sequels to sub par heroes. Ant Man is one of my favorites but can he last an entire trilogy? They had to bastardize two concepts just for one decent villain for the guy. And what about Dr. Strange, Panther, and Capt./Miss Marvel? No way in hell do any of those properties come close to touching the trinity of Avengers who've kept the movie-verse alive this long. Even introducing Spiderman in this universe, I think it's on the decline...

Baron Mordo, Dormamu, and Mephisto are about all he's got... Blackheart if you really wanna steal from Ghost Rider... most of them are too similar to work for a trilogy. It'd be like if Ironman just fought Ironman knockoffs in every movie rather than what we got. I was under the impression a lot of people hated IM 2 because of how they used Whiplash and made him too much like Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo with a full power suit.
Cumberbatch doesn't do much for me either. Saw his Khan the other day and was completely underwhelmed. I don't see what the big deal is. I'm like all those guys who hate on Fillion lovers, just with Cumberbatch.

Why does every character have to be able to support a trilogy?
Have we heard any plans for ANY Marvel movies following the Infinity War flicks?

Because some people think they do. The world will be perfectly fine with just one Ant-Man film, or one Dr. Strange film, or one Black Panther film, is my say. Maybe a sequel down the road, but don't plan that far ahead because you never know what might happen.Originally posted by Dr. Naysay View PostWhy does every character have to be able to support a trilogy?Villain Draft 3: Fourth Place Winner
