I think you're coming around. Probably if Munn was dating Brady instead of Rodgers, you'd be more on board.

Ha! Maybe so, but if she'd partnered up with him around the same time... suffice to say, a good number of people blamed Giselle for us not winning a Super Bowl for a while there, 2007 included. If that had been Olivia, I might've hated her worse.

      • You Pat fans. Crazy.

I don't know if you saw this on Jimmy Kimmel, but Ben Affleck said something like he would wash Brady's car naked for free just to be around him.

          • I read the headline for that on Newsarama and got so excited, and then was severely disappointed to see its just a backup. It would be a HUGE deal if he returned to Marvel for another Astonish-length stint on a book.

            • Not surprised that there will be no Rated R Marvel movies. Thus, one of the bright sides that Fox holds the rights to Deadpool and X-Force. However, it's a good thing that Marvel expanded into Netflix so we get Rated R like shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc.

Go for Agents of SHIELD already getting an early renewal for season 4. I think the Secret Warriors is helping out.

              • I wouldn't call either Daredevil or Jessica Jones a R-Rated show. They still cut away from intense violence. Curse words are allowed in PG-13 films.

                • Perhaps. But watching Luke and Jessica having sex was pretty racy and I think beyond PG-13. They broke the fucking bed when they were fucking.

                  • FX'S X-MEN-BASED "LEGION" ADDS "THE LEAGUE'S" KATIE ASELTON
Deadline has reported that Katie Aselton has joined the expanding cast of FX's "Legion," a drama series based on the X-Men character of the same name. No information about Aselton's character has been revealed other than a name: Amy.

Aselton previous starred in the FX (and later FXX) comedy series "The League." She has also had recurring roles on Hulu's "Casual" and HBO's "Togetherness."

The pilot comes from "Fargo" showrunner Noah Hawley and will star "Downton Abbey's" Dan Stevens as David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier and a man with mental illness and haunted by voices in his head. "Legion" will also star Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder and Rachel Keller.

"Legion" is in development at cable network FX, with Hawley on board as a producer. According to the official description, "Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real." Production on the "Legion" pilot will begin in March.

                    • Report: ‘Iron Fist’ Auditioning Asian Actors For Marvel Hero Shang-Chi

That Hashtag Show (who were initially responsible for first word of Finn Jones) claims that Marvel’s Netflix Iron First has begun auditioning male actors of Asian descent for the role of Shang-Chi, son to noted villain Fu Manchu, and “Master of Kung-Fu” in his own right. The comic character has worked with both Iron Fist and Luke Cage as one of the “Heroes for Hire,” as well as The Avengers, also featuring into Daredevil’s comic “Shadowland” arc.

Notably, the report also claims Iron Fist production will begin in April, as well that Shang-Chi’s reception could spur spinoff talk in time. It would seem a bit early, considering neither Marvel nor Netflix have publicly released a schedule for Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, or a second season of Jessica Jones, let alone any spinoffs.

Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while recent reports suggested Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side.

We’ll stay tuned for more on Iron Fist in the coming weeks and months, but is casting Shang-Chi a step in the right direction?

                      • Report: VENOM Solo Film Back On Track At Sony; Unrelated to New Spider-Man Film

Now that Sony has set Spider-Man on its rebooted path, the studio is setting its sights on other Spider-Man franchises. Case in point: Venom.

Sony has tapped Dante Harper to pen a script for Venom, something that is being envisioned as a franchise apart from and unrelated to the upcoming Spider-Man movie in the works with actor Tom Holland.

Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, among stewards of the Spider-Man properties, are producing and overseeing the project.

Venom is one of Marvel’s top villains and a Spider-Man fixture since he was introduced in 1988, created by writer David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mike Zeck. The character is an alien symbiote that need a human host to survive. In return, the alien empowers its victim with incredible powers.

For the longest time, Venom was a villain but then morphed into an anti-hero and even (almost) good guy. In his current incarnation, Venom is paired with Flash Thompson, a Peter Parker bully-turned-close friend and now a government agent.

It is unclear which Venom incarnation is being used for the new project.

The character made its screen appearance in Spider-Man 3 and was played by Topher Grace. A spin-off has been in development in several incarnations, with Gary Ross and Josh Trank among the director coming and going, and writers such as Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Deadpool) and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci penning versions.

This Venom is meant to not only stand on its own but to also launch its own franchise.

Palak Patel and Eric Fineman are overseeing Venom for Sony’s Columbia label.

Harper is an up-and-coming scribe who wrote Edge of Tomorrow, the time travel sci-fi movie that starred Tom Cruise. He also co-wrote Sleepless Night, the crime thriller that stars Jamie Foxx and Dermot Mulroney.

He is repped by CAA, Management 360, and Lichter, Grossman.

                        • Granted you can only infer so much from an initial announcement but a standalone Venom franchise that has nothing to do with Spider-Man? Sounds way too Catwoman-y.

Deodato will apparently be staying on Invincible Iron Man for 10 issues as opposed to the originally planned 5 issues.
