MAYBE Mysterio can hold a movie but the rest? Nah. And I really like Shocker!

Yo.
films & tvshows are 2 diff beasts tho; I dont think a pg13 program could get away with as many uses of the word "shit" as JJ used (ignoring the on-screen violence AND the blood), and if they used "fuck", then thats most likely getting them an "M" (if not fined) if it aired b4 10pm.Originally posted by W.West View PostI wouldn't call either Daredevil or Jessica Jones a R-Rated show. They still cut away from intense violence. Curse words are allowed in PG-13 films.
a movie can get away with a single use of the F-bomb w/o bumping up its rating (like the last 2 Xmen films did), but I cant think of a tvshow thats done so aside from _maybe_ NYPD Blue way back when.......ONCE, at any rate.
but thats network tv; the language noose gets loosened when yur looking at cable/'Net offerings. I remember when South Park made a whole show about using "shit" 130-something times just to push home the point about that word being safe to use w/o bleeping....but then, doing so on the use of "fuck" in that same show.

Jessica Jones is rated TVMA.
This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17. This program contains one or more of the following: graphic violence (V), explicit sexual activity (S), or crude indecent language (L).
Which is comparable to Rated R:
An R-rated motion picture, in the view of the Rating Board, contains some adult material. An R-rated motion picture may include adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements, so that parents are counseled to take this rating very seriously. Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated motion pictures unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about R-rated motion pictures in determining their suitability for their children. Generally, it is not appropriate for parents to bring their young children with them to R-rated motion pictures.
I guess I just saw the "violence" in Jessica Jones to be weaker than I expect my Rated R movies to be. And the sex scene was more funny than sexy and didn't come anywhere close to nudity. We got more nudity in Days of Future Past with Wolverine's butt.

There was no butt sex in Jessica Jones.
Zendaya Lands A Lead In Spider-Man Reboot At Sony And Marvel Studios

EXCLUSIVE: Sony and Marvel Studios are beginning to cast up their Spider-Man reboot. I’m told that actress-singer Zendaya has landed a key role in the ensemble they are building around Tom Holland, who’ll play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the film to be directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car). She was among the actresses who’ve quietly been testing for roles, and I hear she will play a character named Michelle. Nobody is providing details on whether this is the romantic lead opposite Peter Parker, but it doesn’t sound like it. In the comics, Parker romanced Mary Jane and Gwen. You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!

I looked @ Elektra, and saw Psylocke.
I cant say its a BAD look, however, given the whole "realism" angle costumes seem to be going thru.....

I look at Elektra and see Nyssa al Ghul. They're pretty much mirror characters with the Hand and the League of Assassins thing.
I also see Daredevil doing the female butt shot pose. He ain't got much of a butt.
Speaking of Psylocke:
