It preceded Dr. Strange's motion picture release, as that was in 1978. The Incredible Hulk (1978) was just a film-format release of the two-parter series premier. Captain America and its sequel, Death Too Soon, were both released in 1979.

No mask or tuning fork headpiece? Sorry, that's a deal breaker. None of that looks like it fits with the rest of the MCU. This is as underwhelming as Ghost Rider being wasted on AoS. GR is one of those characters that's tailor made for a Netflix series...

Oh please. Howard didn't have half the effort put into his solo film as was put into his end-credits cameo in Guardians vol. 1. Spider-Man had to contend with an impending calamity in the form of the Deadly Dust, and that was in the swank-level production era known as the 1970s.
