EDIT: Maybe it's so his people wouldn't know it was him operating in the outside world?

So he didn't wear the mask or costume when he was with his people? (I honestly don't know the answer, as I've never read a single Inhumans comic.)

Wait, what are you agreeing with? My intention wasn't to disparage the comic. I just don't read Marvel in general. I haven't read an X-men book since I was in college and a roommate was getting them.

And yet the text of your response read as if you were REALLY "agreeing" that the comic wasn't worth reading. Hence the confusion.

            • i think your reading to much into this, making a big deal out of nothing, just know i agreed with you and leave it at that bro

                ......say WAT?!??

'70s SM was dull, boring, and chock full of YAWN-NESS (he hardly even cracked wise when fighting!! OBJECTION!!!!!)....while Howard gave us cinematographical awesomeness such as the following:

.....and any1 who cant see how scenes like those can make this movie the hidden gem it REALLY IS.....just doesn't know movies.

yes, he does; its actually rarer to see him w/o his mask in a day-2-day setting.

The 1970s Spider-Man duology was written with a sense of purpose. It was a deliberate writing effort, and not meant as a shameless cash-in. The actors performed their roles and executed the moment-to-moment of the story with a gravitas and a subtlety that a lot of films back then lacked, and which Marvel has only recently started to make up for.

The character of Spider-Man himself doesn't need to make jokes all the time, since actual comedic genius can't be forced and has to happen naturally. There's also the fact that, as a regular man shouldering the unfathomable weight of responsibility that is risking his very-mortal life fighting crime, there isn't very much that is going to be laughed at.

                    • There's no shame in giving up, Tazer. It takes a brave man to admit he's outclassed.

hey now, all I did was go back to playing FO:NV since any attempt FROM ANYBODY at saying the 70s Spiderman show "written with a sense of purpose" as a POSITIVE is clearly the sign of a mind grasping at straws for an argument. but, since ya seem to feel victorius _somehow_, I'll reply with the same quality of statement that yur post previous to the last contained.....

                              • I mean, I could definitely keep going if you are getting a kick out of this, but if you've had your laugh, I'll just leave it be.

This has been a lot of fun, our little back-and-forth, and I just couldn't help myself but have a go after you made your initial comment on the Howard film. I got curious and looked up a little Marvel cinematic history (and also to refresh my own memory, because it's been 20 years since I saw those Spider-Man flicks back when they were on Blockbuster's shelves).

But even if this particular joke ends, I'll just come at you another time.
