Oh, oh well. Actually, in a way this is better. It's not really the time for an ongoing yet anyway. Give it more time and a more ideally matched creative team. And this oneshot is a nice idea, a tribute to Len, with others showing their respect for him and his creation. I only wish Bernie Wrightson was doing the art on this story. I agree. I am pretty excited to grab this though, I was just looking at my parent's refrigerator magnets and saw a picture of me as a kid with a Swamp Thing sweater on. I am a fan of Swampy from way back in the day (mostly from the movie I think). I would love to see another series come out, but you are right, wait for the right team and pitch, don't just do another Swamp Thing series "because it's been a while". LCS got reorders of Red Death in, so I flipped through it. I didn't get Murder Machine, probably should have because I was actually impressed by it flipping through, so I boxed RD and when another member noticed he had two Drowned copies, I was fortunate enough to get the spare (still need Dawnbreaker or whatever it's called, told the manager to grab a spare reorder if he could).
As hokey at it is, Metal might actually be good in the end, or at least the tie-ins are worth a look.Villain Draft 3: Fourth Place Winner

I'll put it this way. If you've been writing comics for, say seven years, and you haven't written a successful one yet, or if you have written a successful comic but haven't been able to do it again for the last 10 years, I'll bet good money against your doing it now.
This doesn't count the small handful of guys who can write bad shit but sell it just by signing their name on it. That's different.Comment
