Batwoman is totally going to mop the floor with Batgirl, definitely getting that. I'm glad to see Scarecrow back, so I may pick that up, and Paragon looks like a cool villain, so Nightwing will be a regular grab too. And of course I'm getting the new Batman, that cover really has me confused. New villain.
The Bat-titles I normally get:
Batman
Nightwing
Batwoman

That alt cover looks cool, I will probably get that if available. I can't wait to see what the fallout from the Owl crossover ends up being.

Remember when Morrison hinted that Dr.Hurt could be Dr.Wayne and he was never shot but that he was part of the black glove? and how everyone and their mothers was calling for Grants head?
Scott Snyder is now doing a similar thing by altering the death of the waynes
Yet no one seems to be calling for his head
Batman RIP > Night of The Owls
Morrison 4life.

Bleeding Cool ran a piece that featured Jim Lee's Batman inked by several different inkers, always cool to see the impact inkers can have on a piece: Travis Charest, Frank Cho Ink Jim Lee At Big Wow

No one wants to think. The Black Glove was straight up evil for evils sake. The Court of Owls has no motivation. Morrison made Dr. Hurt drag the Wayne name down as far as possible. Martha was a cheating wife. Thomas was an addict and a schemer who got his wife murderer and even an eccentric pervert. All perception of what really happened and all possibly true. Now combine that with a mysterious group who's literally fucking with Batman just to see how he reacts and you have an amazing saga. Snyder's Court hasn't done a damn thing to justify this being a big deal beyond the very very very recent attempts on other citizens lives.
Snyder, unlike Morrison playing with perception, is ACTUALLY changing history so his villains will seem more evil or will have a history. Unfortunately, it all comes off as very halfway thought out. There's no reason why they would be chasing Alfred's father, but they are. There's no reason why they have to be there on the night his parents are murdered, but they are. Because instead of writing a big bad villain that has a purpose, Snyder wants a group of people who have fluctuating levels of skills/builds and no reason for doing anything. When Court of Owls is over(and best believe that when I say over, I mean even after Snyder lays down a I-don't-know-the-definition-of-subtle teaser at the end of an issue), there will be no great revelation because we (and more importantly the characters) have been literally chasing a random. The talons are nothing more than henchmen and the court are just shadowy heads.
Oh, and I'm sure the woman Snyder has been talking about "reappearing" will be his version of Jezebel Jet. Cant fucking wait for that.

Greg Capullo Turned Down Avengers Vs X-Men
So I called Marvel and DC and I let them know I was prepared to embark on something big. Both companies were very interested in working with me and I ended up with Batman because the kid in me was a Batman fan since I was four. And he kept pestering me, “You have to do Batman! You have to make Batman “. However, DC did not reveal the magnitude of the project until I told them: “Look, Marvel is offering me something really big” (because they were offering me draw Avengers vs. X-Men, a unique project, I tried to convince to let me do both!). When I told them that Marvel was offering me a great project that I could not speak about, they said I would have to sign a confidentiality agreement. I had previously only been told it was a comic about Batman, but when I signed that contract they confirmed that it was the relaunch of Batman from number one.
I spent two months without sleep, wondering what to do, but the child in me kept repeating that I should do Batman. I’m glad I made that decision because both X-Men vs. Avengers and the relaunch of DC are two very important events, but when you look coldly. one is an event and one involves a series regular with a particular focus on character and I decided on the latter as being more important to me.
