Are you ready for the emotional spectrum to go away?

Didn't they show Evil Star once,or atleast his starlings?Originally posted by Big Daddy Dave View PostHe was doing some interesting revamps of the silver age villains. That is, until the emotional spectrum became popular and permanently sidetracked him. I liked his Tattoo Man, Hector Hammond, and The Shark. Too bad, I would have loved to have seen more. He never got to Goldface (not his Flash version), Evil Star, or Polaris.
And nobody EVER gives any love to The Lamplighter!

Yes, complete with a retcon. But then they weren't seen again until the crappy New 52 revamp.Originally posted by Rotten2thecorps View PostDidn't they show Evil Star once,or atleast his starlings?

Yeah, he was supposed to do a story with Sonar I and Sonar II. Given the way a lot of Geoff stories go, presumably Sonar I would have killed Sonar II to become a bigger badass. Or something. Come to think of it... pretty much Kyle's entire rogues gallery was probably not-too-coincidentally wiped out under Geoff's watch.Originally posted by Rotten2thecorps View PostI was all hyped for Sonar when they showed him in prison when they first brought Hal back. Yet another Goeff Story tease.
About the main topic, the emotional spectrum is too rooted into things now to surgically just remove it, and the retcons necessary to do so would probably just make a bigger mess of things.

I were writing the title I just wouldn't use them. Give Guy and Kyle different assignments and then you wouldn't have to bother with them.

Not really a big loss, if he had. Kyle 's rogues gallery was pretty lame. He never really had an arch. The closest thing would probably be major force, and I don't think they fought that often.Originally posted by Andrew NDB View PostYeah, he was supposed to do a story with Sonar I and Sonar II. Isn't Fatality still around as a Star Sapphire? So she really doesn't count.
Nero was really only used for 20 issues I think, and then killed.
Same for Effiy.
I think Kyle had many rogues that were just created for a specific plot.Last edited by SocializingMogo; 05-21-2014, 01:34 PM.

Fatality just seemed like an excuse to kill off ex-GLs and piss on the pre-Kyle stories. Man, don't dredge up those bad memories.

Those guys were "Handicapped" from the get go. Fatality is okay, the name was stupid though.Spy makes a good point too. I always felt that Kyle needed a mirrior villian but always found the attempts were laughable at best.Originally posted by SD80MAC View PostKyle had some great villains that were of course handicapped later on. Nero, Effigy (wish that Corps storyline had worked out), Fatality...
If he ever goes back to being a Green Lantern again, hopefully the Sinestro Corps will still be in swing and we can find Kyle a good Counter ring wielder who has a legitmate gripe with Kyle.
I am not holding my breath.
