Thanks for the blog. I'm to hear these events continue to grow and that Jimmy Robinson doesn't disappoint. Yeah, it's a bummer that there wasn't an Image Expo this year.

I thought the Flash Thompson Venon was the best cosplay eventhough dude was not wearing a mask.

BTW, Olivia Munn makes a better Sailor Moon than that chick in you blog.

LOL! I bet you've spanked many a' monkey thinking about Olivia... and my Sailor Moon girl is hotter.

Yeah, the Flash Venom is cool. In the pic, you can see that he's holding the mask in his hand. It probably got too hot for him. I had to wait for the girl to put her mask on before I took the photo... and she was really cute. I told her, "You look much better without the mask."

Everyone has their favor images stored in their spank bank.

I think Iggy has a bunch of Sailor Moon images stored away.

Here are some images from last weekend's Sac-Con.

The lines were around the corner as always. Why people don’t pre-register, I’ll never know.

Because it was so hot outside, they had stands for refreshments to cool down.

Per usual, the floor was packed, and there were a good deal of Yugioh and Magic players in attendance for the tournaments.

Ron Lim was in attendance. He’s a mainstay for this show.

Grey Delisle and Dameon Clarke were in the house.

Grey was really nice. Even though the lines were long, she was friendly and engaging. She even hugged everyone.

Lauren Tom was also at the show. I tried getting a photo of her (not with her), but everyone was charging $20. It was for some kind of children’s charity. I guess they think people are made of money these days. Still, I spoke with Lauren and she was really nice. She voiced Dana from Batman Beyond in addition to a plethora of other characters.

The video gaming room was full most of the day.

There were a good deal of cosplayers, but I really wasn’t in the mood to take a bunch of photos. It was too damn hot.

I liked the Steampunk GL hat this lady was wearing.

This girl bought the Wonder Woman costume from a dealer friend of mine and put it on in the restroom. Bam! Instant cosplayer!

As always, this was a nice, fun show, and a prelude to the SDCC. Too bad it was triple digits outside, otherwise I might have enjoyed the show more... getting my ass kicked in Yugioh might have had something to do with it as well.

I did get this nice Arkham Asylum print, which was nice. Too bad it would have cost $20 to get it signed. Ah well.

I attended Sac-Con last week. I keep forgetting to post updates on this page, but here are some images from the show.

I always show up a little late because I pre-register so I can avoid the lines and just walk in, but today there was a long line. Apparently, the guy that was supposed to open the center had a heart attack, so everything was delayed. I hope he's okay.

The center was crowded as usual.

This time around, they moved things around. The TCG gaming center was moved to the back of the center and the video games were moved to the stage. Seemed kind of strange at first.

The big guy above is one of the best Yugioh players in the area, and in an epic duel, I beat him with my Zombiesworn deck. Overall, I took 4th place in the tournament. Not bad considering I only play once a month.

The usual suspects, Tone Rodriguez and Tony Fleeces were in attendace. I'm thinking they must live in the area since they attend every show. It's cool to have a bit of star artist power at small shows.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator, Kevin Eastman was in attendance. He had a HUGE line the entire day and did a panel that nobody could get into because of crowds.

There was a smattering of cosplayers, but because I was so wrapped up in the Yugioh tournament, I didn't get out to the floor too often, and when I was on the floor, my back was turned as I was bin-diving for deals on old comics.

For the first time, I didn't buy an action figure at a show, but I did get a sweet deal on some back issues. I paid $10 for all of these books that I hope to get signed one day. Some of the below Spiderman issues goes for $20+ a pop on eBay. When I was thumbing through the box and pulling out issues, there was a guy waiting on me and he said, "Man, that's a good deal on those issues. Any more?" Nope!

...and I got these for $1 each. Can't argue with that.

Overall, it was another good show, however I wish I had more time to take more photos.

The next show is Sunday, June 8th, I think, so I'll try to keep on top of this and have more updates.

Awesome Sylent! Thanks for the 411. I'm amazed at the crowd. It now makes more sense why Wizard World is basically sold out if a regular small Sac Con is so busy.

So did you end up going to WW Sac? It's today. Pretty big line up of stars.

I decided against it. I'm just a little too far (2 hours) from Sac Town to make this trek and feel it's worth while.

Oh, BTW I thought of you a couple of weekends ago when my daughter had a volleyball tournament in Galt. When I first heard I was like WTF is Galt? Sort of like I thought when you first mentioned Lathrop! Well my wife ended up taking her and I stayed home but she told me "There wasn't too much out there."

Anyways, I know off topic wrong thread but you taking the trek down to SoCal and going to WonderCon?

I'm not sure about WonderCon. Still on the fence, and by the time I decide, it will probably be sold out. Oh well... If I go, I'll probably take a day trip with a couple of people, but I don't want to spend SDCC money on that show.
