Mace Windu had a purple saber. In the Clone Wars toons, the Mandelorians had some kind of black blade saber.

i believe that was the dark saber. also in the force unleashed 2 there was a silver bladed saber as well

Looking at those sabers makes me think about Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I wish they would make a sequel to Academy. I always used the dual orange sabers in that game.

Never heard of black core sabers before.

I never got that vibe from Return of the Jedi. Yes, the immediate threat was gone, the mighty death star destroyed but the Empire fleet mainly remained intact. This was just the first step towards a new republic.

Well, once the Special Edition hit, I would say that the scene of celebratory mobs tearing down a huge statue of the Emperor on the capital of the Empire certainly suggested that the Empire's authority was at least seriously compromised.

An excellent question, I never asked because I assumed no one would care.

Well I'd simply love them to bring in yellow and/or orange lightsabers, they're awesome. I'd love them to expand their range of colours. And there should be more purple lightsabers. I love purple.

The EU has some good choices.

I never heard of dark core lightsabers, but I wouldn't want them included. But all those normal ones are awesome, I want all of them! Even the pink one.

I'd rather stick with the classic colors. Purple worked out great, but going beyond that I find the colors visually less appealing. Red, blue, green and red are much more striking than a weak ass orange or yellow. IMO anyway.

I like the idea of varied colors, simply because a lightsaber is crafted by its user, so you'd think many different jedi/sith would have different taste when it comes to saber colors.

agreed and also shouldnt the color represent the skill of its user? if i remember correctly blue was just for padawans wile green was for masters. id like to see them expand jedi rankings a bit

say luke becomes a grand master jedi should his saber fit his title based on its color?
