i think it was from the first kotor game on the original xbox they go into great detail explaining the whole crystal thing . i am not sure if that would be considered canon to the films themselves but i want to see something like that happen.

i cant find the exact diolauge but heres the crystal cave where you have to retrieve a crystal to build your lightsaber

    • Yeah, one of the books I read described the same process and described certain colors as very rare, but as you say it wouldn't be considered canon.

I agree with Dave though that some colors might not show up as well in live-action film as they do in say comics or even video games.

I agree. Could be (especially with modern CGI) that gold will look awesome. I wouldn't mind finding out.

I don't know what you're talking about, that never happened in RotJ.

I always thought it was a "happy ever after" type ending even before that special edition (though that helped cement it in my head).

Seriously, the first time it even entered into my head that the Alliance might encounter significant post-Palpatine resistance was when I read Zahn's books. Outside of the EU, my interpretation would be that the alliance might face isolated pockets of hardline stormtroopers (like those Japanese soldiers entrenched in small islands after the war) but basically the day after Endor they start the work of the new government.

We know from the original movies alone that the emperor, Vader (and much of the rest of the high command), the main fleet (including the flagship Executioner), and the second Death Star are all lost. In most of our wars such devastating losses would lead to surrender and peace. Endor was their Waterloo, their Yorktown, their Salamis.

Nope, it's not in the Special Edition either (1997). It was introduced in the first DVD edition (2004?) which also changed Anakin's force ghost to Hayden Christensen.
This version of the movie however doesn't really exist, it's a big conspiracy made by 4chan trolls that photoshopped parts of the movie

no it was in the 97 version. the only changes lucas made was the addition of naboo and anakins force ghost later on in other releases. the coruscant tattooine and bespin scene was in there already in 97

I have to think this is the case because I remember talking with kids in High School about those victory scenes and I graduated in '98.

I haven't really watched any of the changed versions in years to be honest.
See, with all those changes nothing makes sense.

Well, I agree that the changes added nothing necessary and in some cases made things worse, but in this particular case (as you see below) it just confirmed my reading of RotJ.
