  • I'm wondering if Asoka Tano will have any part in any of the new movies. That would be pretty cool, me thinks.

    • She'll probably be in Rebels, but she'll be too old to be in the movies

Not necessarily. I forget what species she is, but they might have a long life span, so it is conceivable that she could be in the new movies. But if she shows up in Rebels, I'll take that, too. Her story isn't done yet.

Not necessarily. Luke is only supposed to be 18/19 at the time of A New Hope, if I recall correctly. There's enough wiggle room there for her to show up or at least have a cameo or something...

And it turns out it is another established wearer of Mando armor in the Star Wars universe, the Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren. The following information comes from iKwiz's source.

“Tatiana Maslany’s name came up a lot for the role of Sabine, the same character from [Star Wars] Rebels. In this story she’s a little older and a bounty hunter.”
Personally, I'd love for this to be true. Maslany being Sabine would be so awesome. I freaked out a little when I heard this especially because of Rebels. Also, while I like the idea of Fassbender being Boba Fett, I'm Curious to find out how he'll play it especially considering the rumor(or is it confirmed?) that the Fett name is to become a mantle, and the name, the ship and the armor gets passed down to a successor.

With what I've heard, and what you posted, I'm thinking older.

That would be pretty cool, indeed.

Well Ahsoka is a member of the Togruta species, who have an average lifespan of about 94 years, and was born on the planet Shili on 36 BBY, so she could absolutely be alive by the timeframe of which the new trilogy is set although she'll be getting on quite a bit (she'd be around 85-88 by that time). Personally, I think Ahsoka is likelier to be given a standalone movie than a role in the new trilogy, although both could happen.

Indeed. Luke is 19 around the time of A New Hope, so there's definitely room to work with.

I had to let that sink in for a while....not sure how I feel about that. Fassbender is a great actor, don't get me wrong. The guy was brilliant in Prometheus, but logically thinking, wouldn't they want the original clone Temuera Morrison to play Boba, since it would probably fit in good age wise and looks wise?

Ah, thank you for that information. In general, I would just like to see her again in action. She's a good character and has important ties to the Skywalker family.

                  • We never saw any of Fett's flesh in either Empire or Jedi. You only need to cast someone physically capable of playing him for minor to moderate stunt work, and perhaps a second actor solely for the voice, which will be partially synthesized as he sounded in Empire.

But what if they want do do some unmasked work?

                      • Depends. We almost never see him unmasked, so it's entirely realistic that if he stars in this trilogy we never see his face. If they want to show him, it won't be a problem since we know what he'd generally look like.

                            • FELICITY JONES TO STAR IN GARETH EDWARDS STAR WARS SPINOFF

It appears as if Gareth Edwards has his leading lady for the Star Wars spinoff as it's being reported Felicity Jones is in talks with Disney.

THR reported on the news, with no knowledge who Jones could be playing.

The report also mentions that Aaron Paul and Edgar Ramirez are being eyed for the male lead.

Aaron Paul was previously rumored for Star Wars, with it speculated he could be up for Han Solo. Paul recently stated the rumors about his involvement with Star Wars "are exciting."

Felicity Jones is known for The Theory Of Everything and was recently featured in Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The untitled Star Wars spinoff has a December 16, 2016 release. Chris Weitz recently came onboard to pen a new script following Gary Whitta's completion of the first draft.
