Which really is a win-win. Vince gets more money and the wrestlers get a chance to protect their legacy, and also make more money
I don't know how worried those guys are about a "legacy" in a business where whatever Vince says is what happens, but he had to make it worth their while to come back. Of course if he hadn't profited from it, it wouldn't have happened.

I think it varies from wrestler to wrestler, Bret Hart is someone who you can tell from his interviews cares a great deal about his wrestling legacy.
I just watched the Ultimate Warrior's talk on Monday night again, and in hindsight, he didn't look well. He was having some trouble breathing and wasn't moving right.

He didn't look good at all, he looked like he was all ceased up, like an engine without any oil.
As sad as this whole thing is, it's almost perfect for Ultimate Warrior. He was super involved in his character, even changing his legal name to Warrior. Him coming back to the WWF, being entered into the HoF, Wrestlemania XXX and his cryptic final interview on Raw all sort of fit together. It's like his character got it's redemption, then went out in a blaze of glory. Really, (and this is wrestling we're talking about), it couldn't have been scripted any better.

I remember back in the day, the NWA TV title would be defended on house shows. Never made any sense. Or as much sense as a European title being defended in the US.
