Jason IS cooler than Freddy, because Freddy is funnier than Jason. I'm not saying neither character became a joke near the end of their original run, but I will say that Freddy crossed that finish line of becoming a joke much, much, much sooner.

Plus, last I checked, there were no kaiju left standing after Pacific Rim. Point to TALK SHIT GET HIT.

I feel like i saw this back in 2000. It absolutely SUCKED, and I want my money back.

Waitaminute, I snuck into this theater after watching Godzilla AGAIN, cause that was worth the money again. But still, i want my time back!!! Fuck you Singer !!!

This movie was very, very funny and lots of fun. Voice cast included Ty Burrel, who did great as Mr. Peabody, Allison Janney, Leslie Mann, and Stephen Colbert. When I hear Colbert voice animated guys all I can picture is Professor Impossible from The Venture Bros. I think my fav line had to be:

Penny: So what years have you traveled to?
Sherman: 1776, 1492, 1215...4

Escape from LA (1996)

First I've seen this again since it came out. It's still vastly inferior to EfNY, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Jason IS cooler than Freddy, because Freddy is funnier than Jason. I'm not saying neither character became a joke near the end of their original run, but I will say that Freddy crossed that finish line of becoming a joke much, much, much sooner...

I frankly find the Friday sequels more watchable. Mind you, I have seen every Freddy movie multiple times as well, but I watch Jason movies more often because I like the set-ups.

Jason's silence helps. He has a presence that Freddy sometimes has but diffuses with one liners.

I like the first two Jasons, then maybe the fourth, the fifth (the one where Jason isn't the killer) and the sixth (the first real slasher Jason).

The Freddie movies I like are the first, third, fourth, sixth (but in a trashie way) and the last one.

And then the Freddie vs. Jason movie obviously.

But I think both series have more bad entries than good ones, we just like to watch them because of nostalgia.
