And that's why the comic has sucked for so long. There hasn't been another Stan writing it.

The Coming of Galactus is THE seminal story of the Fantastic Four. Period.

If you don't do it that way, then just forget the FF.
If Marvel gets rights back though, they won't be asking themselves 'What can we do for F4?' they'll be asking themselves 'What can the F4 do for US?" which would be making Galactus a universe level threat. As should a Secret Invasion at some point if they do get F4 rights and the Skrulls back in play.

    This though...

Made any arguments you make on this invalid. WTF? Without the F4 there wouldn't be an Inhumans. Namor wouldn't be good for anything without trying to get in Sue's pants once in awhile. Madrox the Multiple Man was introduced in the F4 as well. Psycho Man and the Microverse were introduced in F4, there's the whole Negative Zone that's worth a damn and what comes with it [Blastaar, Annihilus, the Civil War Prison, etc..], there's literally tons of shit you could do with them in the broader Marvel U.

I think all of those things are what made the F4 great in their hayday. They introduced tons of things into the Marvel U. and the problem with them today is not being able to produce the next big thing in every other guest star or enemy. Using the Hulk as the antagonist in an F4 movie could work because Marvel/Disney doesn't own rights to make a solo Hulk movie but has him appearing in other films. And who wouldn't pay for the 3D glasses to watch the Hulk/Thing fight or the F4 vs Namor w/Atlantis made by the people who've already given us the Avengers?

Marvel will want to take advantage of the things that Fox couldn't. That much is obvious.

-- Forget the origin. You've blown that out of your asses. Move on.

-- The next FF movie should be The Coming of Galactus. Don't make him a vacuum cleaner this time. Or a cloud, as Parallax was in the Green Lantern movie. Depict him the way Jack Kirby drew him. Period. None of you are going to come up with a better idea than that. It's a pretty short story the way Stan Lee wrote it, but you can fill it up with stuff about the Watcher, the Silver Surfer, and Galactus himself.

-- The following FF movie should be Doomsday, in which Dr. Doom steals the Silver Surfer's powers. Keep Doom out of the Galactus movie though because he'd clutter that one up.

      .
So basically, split the second movie in two and keep more true to the comics. I could get behind that, but we won't see it in a very long time, if ever.

Marvel doesn't have the film rights.

Look, the FF concept didn't generate the Inhumans. Stan Lee made them up. And I just said that the Inhumans should be the third movie.

Namor dates to the Golden Age. The FF didn't generate him.

Anyway, in your eagerness to attack me you missed my whole point, as usual. I'm not talking about CHARACTERS who have appeared in the FF. I'm saying that the concept of the FF doesn't generate good STORIES. Big difference.

If it does generate good stories then why can nobody write good stories with it today? Stan was just a better writer than the people who have followed him, that's all.

Besides, most of the characters you mentioned are jobbers who couldn't draw flies, let alone fill up movie theaters. You want an FF movie starring Madrox the Multiple Man? Go pitch your idea to the studio executives and see what they say.

          2) Doom is a horribly-scarred genius-level dictator in robes and armor, like the comics. He also is a top-grade sorcerer. Like in the fucking comics.

          3) People ride dinosaurs to work, not taxis.

          4) Sue is a three-time arm wrestling champion in Guam.

          5) Doom has a laser pistol (he has a holster sometimes and I read a comic where he uses one on Thing).

          6) Galactus's spaceship is a disco ball crewed by Daft Punk.

          7) Johnny has a lengthy criminal record for nude swimming.

          8) At least five Squirrel Girl references.

          9) Have the end credits begin rolling in the middle of the film, during a dramatic dialog scene. They literally start appearing over the picture, not next to it or cutting back and forth, right the fuck on top of the actors' faces.

          10) Reed gets into a boxing match with Evander Holyfield in an attempt to pay off his student debt.

          11) Jeff Goldblum cameos as a scientist pitching the FF an idea for a teleporter pod.

          12) Each FF member has to clearly state they are registered as independent voters in an attempt to make Fox/Republicans popular with the younger voting demographic of today.

          13) Galactus must flip a switch totally copied from Spaceballs to suck the life force from Earth.

My ideas are always the best ideas. You people don't have to thank me all the time for how awesome my ideas are; just knowing that you love them more than your firstborn child is thanks enough.
No, just do what I said and make FF movies that remain true to Stan Lee's best stories, instead of "getting creative" and coming up with "better ideas" such as turning Galactus into a vacuum cleaner.

Well now the writer-director has disowned the movie and is saying that he had nothing to do with it. It's worth noting though that he didn't say that until he saw the reviews.

We won't see any sort of FF movie for a long time. But that's what to do when one finally gets green-lighted. Unless you want to trust Hollywood to "get creative" with it, that is.

My point is, do you respect the source material or don't you? And if you don't, then why are you making it into a movie?

Haha If that is what they ended up with from the reshoots can you imagine how much worse it might have been?
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

Pass? That's putting it mildly. Fans should be boycotting this movie. I'm talking anybody that I can out of seeing it.

So is this movie better than Ghost Dad or Son of The Mask?

Now I want to see this. Originally, I had no plans of watching this as it looked like a DTV, but after reading several glowing reviews, I just may check this out... so I can laugh my arse off. It sounds like a comedy!
