Threshold's numbers are ridiculously bad so Larfleeze debuting at 59 is a shock since he was in Threshold with the same creative team.

Threshold's numbers are ridiculously bad so Larfleeze debuting at 59 is a shock since he was in Threshold with the same creative team.

Like I said, if they had actually sold Threshold as a GL title perhaps it could have done better.

They aren't marketing Larfleeze like a GL book either though. Keith Giffen and the other creators have mentioned time and again that Larfleeze is on its own. At least Threshold had the New Guardians Annual as a lead-in.

Unlike Threshold, Larfleeze is actually being put with the other Lantern family titles in solicitations, regardless of the fact that it’s trying to be it’s own thing.

Johns is still a top seller as Forever Evil will prove, but I think Superman's success is truly Snyder's ascension, Jim Lee's name and the Superman brand.

So, West already reported on the sales of the main GL titles in June and Weirdo gave you the link, but I was asked to do my usual bit which includes GL-starring books and trades. West did an even better job at comparing Johns to post-Johns sales (which were not the doom and gloom some predicted), so I won't add any commentary. As usual, comics with lanterns in them are in bold while the GL titles are set apart in Green.

New sales have been released. While Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Green Lantern: New Guardians and Red Lanterns all saw decent drops. Larfleeze (the book that far and away from the other Lantern titles) saw a significant drop and fell to 82, unless it stabilizes itself around the top 100 in the upcoming months, it’ll probably get cancelled in a year or two.

Good. Larfleeze doesn't deserve to continue. Not that half of the other GL books do, but that one is the most pointless of them.
